Sunday Drive – Hood Canal 3.28.10

Sunday morning, I was itching to get out of the house and pressed Brad to consider going out for breakfast. Instead, he suggested a drive up Hood Canal. I signed up. It was rainy, but who cared. Brad wanted to show me a river that is as green as the Kenai. We drove by way of Shelton and it's the Skokomish River that bears this color. After stopping to photograph it, we continued our drive and found ourselves at the Alderbrook Inn. This is an old establishment from the early part of the century, since remodeled and managed by a luxury hotel management group, MTM. Brad had gone past this before with the boys and had remembered that it would be cool to lunch there together. So, here we were...lunch out instead of breakfast out. Here are some photos: [slideshow]
