Late spring/winter weather has prevented me from preparing the beds in the vegetable garden. And given that we didn't do any fall clean up, we've got a lot of work to do. I have one bed clean and ready. All I have to do is prep the soil with fertilizer, compost and lime...this will be for the tomatoes. The rest of the beds still need weeding and cleanup and I am thinking of "leasing out" a couple of beds to the boys and my nephew. This will give them a responsibility in the garden that yields them vegetables that they like so they can feel invested in the process of caring for their garden weekly. Here are some snaps of the one down and seven to go.
